Participants would also be expected to apply the structured five step assessment, including defining purpose, understanding levels of responsibility, gathering evidence, assessing skills against SFIA, and recording outcomes. There is emphasis on building credibility by connecting self-reports with concrete pieces of evidence. SFIA skill descriptions are used to make judgments that are transparent and repeatable. Additionally, participants may be enabled to explain how self assessment supports professional growth and workforce conversations, including how it strengthens job and career planning by clearly communicating prior work experiences.
