Build Skills with Structure. Grow with Clarity.

The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) provides a globally recognised structure for defining professional skills and levels of responsibility. At Untapped Learning Centre, we use SFIA to translate abstract competencies into practical development pathways that support real roles and measurable growth. Our SFIA courses provide a clear, structured approach to skills, behaviours, and progression.

What is SFIA?

SFIA is a global framework that defines professional skills across seven levels of responsibility. It provides a shared language for describing capability, aligning expectations, and supporting consistent development across industries. SFIA Training Module 2

This practical and application-focused course explores the SFIA Behavioural Framework and how professional capability is expressed through observable workplace behaviours. Designed for learners, managers, and workforce planners, the module explains how attributes such as autonomy, influence, and complexity translate into measurable outcomes across the seven levels of responsibility. Through the modules, participants learn how to convert abstract competencies into clear behavioural expectations that support performance, progression, and organisational development.

SFIA Training Module 3

The SFIA Foundations Expanded Module is designed to continue introducing learners to SFIA. The module explains the overall purpose of SFIA, which is to create a clear and shared language for skills, improve role clarity, and connect workforce capability to business needs. Across the module, participants will learn how SFIA is structured and how the framework distinguishes progression through different attributes. The course also explores where behavioral factors fit, how SFIA supports skill assessment and development, and how SFIA skills profiling can be used to design roles, assess gaps, and build targeted development plans that are effective for individuals and organizations.
